Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT’s Apps settings and enable Developer mode. Read its risk notice. If unavailable, ask your ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Open New plugin.
  3. Enter Recollect as the name and paste the connection URL above into the URL field.
  4. Review the details, check “I understand and want to continue”, then click “Create”. ChatGPT shows this warning for every custom MCP server. Complete any sign-in and access approval prompts.
  5. Enable Recollect from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use Recollect.

Refresh after Recollect changes

  1. Open ChatGPT’s Plugins page and select Recollect.
  2. Scroll to “Information” and click “Refresh” to load the latest tools.
  3. If the URL changed, delete Recollect from Plugins and repeat the connection steps with the latest URL. ChatGPT cannot change an existing app’s URL.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use Recollect.
