Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Recollect, operated from Pennsylvania, USA. By creating an account or using Recollect, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Recollect. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity on your account. Please give accurate information and keep it up to date.

Your content

You own the memories, voice notes, photos, documents and other content you add. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only to run Recollect for you, for example to transcribe recordings, organize memories and send the reminders you set. You are responsible for having the right to add content about other people, and for using their information respectfully.

Connected services and location

You may connect Google Calendar, Google Photos and Google Contacts, and allow location access. These are optional and can be turned off at any time. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's terms. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is used. Location and place reminders depend on your device, its settings and signal, and may not always fire on time.

Plans, trials and billing

• Recollect offers a Free plan and paid Plus and Pro plans, billed monthly or yearly. Current prices and features are shown on the Plans page.
• New accounts may receive a 7-day Pro trial. When it ends, your account moves to the plan you choose, or to Free.
• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; applicable taxes are added at checkout.
• Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
• If you cancel, you keep your paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments are not refunded except where required by law.
• If you go over a plan's limits after downgrading, your existing content is kept, but you may not be able to add more until you are back under the limit or upgrade.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Recollect for anything illegal, or to harass, track or harm another person;
• share someone's location or personal details without their permission;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

AI features

Recollect uses automated tools to transcribe, summarize, categorize and suggest dates and people. These suggestions can be wrong. Please check important details (like document expiration dates) yourself. Recollect is a personal organizer, not a source of legal, medical or financial advice.

Service availability

We work to keep Recollect running smoothly, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every reminder or notification will be delivered. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of major changes affecting paid plans.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Recollect is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for missed reminders, lost data or events caused by connected services or your device. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms. After deletion, your content is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA.

Changes and contact
